Graduate of the Poznań University of Economics. Mr Kowal’s professional career has been associated with EY (formerly Ernst & Young) since 1991. Mr Kowal was a partner and also a member of the management board of the companies comprising EY.

In 1998, after completing a series of training courses, he qualified as a British chartered accountant (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), and in 2000. – he was qualified as a chartered accountant by the National Chamber of Chartered Accountants. Mr Kowal has a wealth of over 30 years’ experience in financial reporting review, transaction advisory, IPO, business advisory.

Mr Kowal has been a member of the supervisory boards of companies since 2016: Grupa Recykl S.A., Reino Capital S.A. and Firma Oponiarska Dębica S.A.. In the latter two companies, he also serves as chairman of the audit committee.

Mr Andrzej Kowal meets the criteria of independence within the meaning of the Act on Statutory Auditors, Audit Firms and Public Supervision of 11 May 2017, as well as within the meaning of Annex II to the European Commission Recommendation 2005/162/EC of 15 February 2005 on the role of non-executive or supervisory directors of listed companies and committees of the (supervisory) board, as well as the criteria described in the Good Practices of Companies Listed on the WSE 2016.
